screw that.

i realize it was a terrible team that gilbert assembled around james, but you can't be angry at gilbert for the crap lebron did. When you have the best player in the game you have to have a good/smart owner. dr buss and reinsdorf(strangely reinsdorf) are great owners to have when you're a contender.

If Gilbert didn't create the monster he certainly enabled it... he needs to shut up and prove it.

Oh the reaction to the Gilbert letter from http://twitter.com/pdcavsinsider is priceless:

Trust me from as who's dealt with Gilbert, I can only imagine what the first draft looked like. This was probably PR team's compromise.

I can't stop laughing because now the world knows about Dan Gilbert's love of caps lock and quotation marks in emails.

I think Dan Gilbert's letter is better. I think he might be slightly upset.

Wow, halfway through that letter I started to think it was fake, like that Prokorov interview that Diddy posted.

But it's say Dan Gilbert. Wow.

Don't think the Cavs will win one before James. I'll take that bet with Dan if he's willing. :cheer:

But it was classless for LeBron to go on TV and leave. If he did it and stayed, then that would have been cool.

I'm still shocked he left Cleveland.

If the Cavs aren't at the bottom of the league next season, I think the Cleveland fans should rejoice. That team is going nowhere without their drama queen.

The whole situation was classless. No need to do any of it on television. Just bad move from a PR standpoint. They should have had a press conference no matter where he was going. If Lebron picks Cleveland, I feel the same way...

I agree press conference would have been the way. Hell people talk about Brett Favre always causing drama during the offseason(which he does) but nothing like this. I thought it was bogus of him to make this whole big thing out of it,even if he was coming to Chicago.

Well Buzz Bissinger (who wrote the book Shooting Stars with LeBron) has gone on a series of tirades against LeBron and ESPN on twitter the last day or two. But a couple struck me:

"I hope that once all this King James nonsense is over, he will revert to the decent accessible man he is. Or maybe was. Don't know anymore."

"He is not an asshole. But he acting in an utterly uncharacteristic fashion What made him special attractive is humility."

Who knows, if Buzz is right and LeBron is a decent guy at heart, maybe this is a reality check to him. We'll see how he handles it, right now he's got a heck of a job in front of him rebuilding him image.

When I hear this song right now I think of Lebron leaving Cleveland and what the sad Cleveland fans think of him and how they will still be waiting for a championship.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T7018-f7jk

"For the promises you’ve made, and all the lies you’ve portrayed,Forever in those eyes...
Hopefully you will find what your looking for,And maybe someday you can realize that the pain only holds so deep.In this moment, in this day, we will hopefully find underneath all the lies,And somehow find our way, and somehow find our way...
Our dreams won’t die"

those are the lyrics that I really thought of in the song the most.i know its not really peoples type of music and cant understand it so thats why i also posted some of the lyrics lol and the ones that maybe what cavs think of lbjs now and how they will still be waiting for a championship. I really feel for these cavs fans, the real diehards, the ones that were fans before LBJ got there and the ones that were not just fans because of LBJs.
