Any suggestions?

My guess is it almost has to be an internal candidate, but I've been shocked before (like yesterday's press conference for example).

Was it Biggs that suggested Bears safeties coach Sean Desai was someone to look at for the job?

I would doubt very much if it is someone from outside. I think there are so many unanswered /secret questions regarding the HC and GM, that it would be a tough sell to bring in a outside name.

You might pull someone who wants to work with this D unit. Obviously a talented group getting the middle DT back next year.

Why would anyone take the Bears defensive job, unless they are in house, when they won't make it public how many years the GM/HC have?

because its better than being unemployed and for positional coaches its a promotion and a chance to show what they can do as a coordinator.

give me jerod mayo, he's been in a 3-4 and 4-3, he's inexperienced as a playcaller but he's a smart guy and should pick things up quick...

Good Lord, where can I sign up!!

Just what this team needs while in win-now mode: inexperienced coaching!
