Clay at 7 games is better than Lillard at 29 it would seem. I know he's done for the year, but say Klay got hurt again today. Would his 7 games still put him higher on the ranking? It's just such an arbitrary thing anymore but it matters because 1. fans, and 2.) they build in contract bonuses around it now.

Well, if you never seen it said before, voters are stupid.
NBA All-Star voting has many years of really bad starters being voted it. I forget when players/media were given a portion, but it made it certainly better.
Guys like BJ Armstrong made All-Star teams solely because of fan voting, not because they deserved it.
Then TMac and Iverson were starting in All-Star games long after their All-Star careers were over.

But East v West is boring viewing.
