Deng cleared to play for Britain

EPSNChicago reports that bulls forward Luol Deng was cleared to play for Grey Britain in the European Basketball Championship. This comes as a surprise considering the insurance dispute that Deng was going through. Now with all problems resolved Deng will be playing for Houston Rockets assistant coach Chris Finch.

I agree this news did not excite me very much. Deng has enough problems with being healthy. But I can also understand a man trying to rep his country

Deng is one of our guys that I wished would have taken this time off to rest and work out on his own. He played a lot of minutes last season..

Well seeing as Deng's probably Britain's best player, I can see why he'd wanna play. Of course I'd prefer he didn't given his injury history and such, but I can't fault him for playing.

You are always at risk for injury when you play basketball. It doesn't matter where you are. These guys love the game and like clone said... you cannot fault him for playing.

I'm not faulting him for wanting to play... I just don't think it's the best idea considering how many minutes he played last season.
