AHHHH!!!! i just read ryen russello's draft blog. i'm glad we didn't do that. Camby is old and on a worse contract than deng. of course the implication is that we were acquiring the resources to trade for bosh, but eh, man, i hope we dont get camby.

How is 2/17.5 worse than 4/50? I'd jumped on this deal last year when Camby was an expiring and still would probably take it if there was nothing better available. YOu'd basically be stacking Camby and Kirk's contract plus assests to go after someone after next year when both are expirings. It increases a lot of flexibility for us and I'd do it if we knew we were getting James. Camby also would be a nice fit in Toronto with Kirk if we traaded for Bosh.

i think toronto would want noah.

it'd be deng + 17--> Trail bailzers
camby --> chicago

Then we'd trade noah for bosh.

i'd rather go after gortat than camby. the injuries and age scare me.

I don't think Toronto thinks they are getting Noah. I think Camby would be a nice C to play next to Barganni and cover up a lot of his weaknesses. It seems Toronto couldn't actually deal Hedo so its unlikely they would go with Deng but Camby is a nice option with Kirk at the 2 and it clears max space for us. Camby, Kirk, gibson and the charollete pick is a good package and will keep the team decent and opens up a lot of expiring assests after next year.

Bulls need to stop moving Deng (unless it is for a non-guaranteed contract like Dampier). Just keep Deng, and then move him if Lebron James signs. Otherwise Deng would be a great core player next to an Amare Stoudemire or Chris Bosh.

I would venture to guess that all this Deng talk is just the Bulls being cheap. They're being proactive about not going into the luxury tax when Rose/Noah are up for raises.

Mr Glass is a core player on a perineal 6-8 seed, not a contender.
