And for those who didn't know. Mr. Hopper was a damn fine visual artist also.

And he was also the only good thing about Water World.

I am a huge Dennis Hopper fan. What a sad day. Knew it was coming though as his battle with prostate cancer has been ongoing for a while now. He hadn't been looking very good this last year.

The world lost a talented and brilliant man. He left us a great legacy though.

R.I.P. Mr. Hopper. Thank you for the great things you left for us to enjoy.

TCD, from what I understand in recent years (until the cancer made it to hard towork)he was actually gettign quite the following for his other artistic endeavors as well as puttign most of the proceeds towards cancer research.

As far as i know this is true bubblehead. That second painting i posted was one of the many he donated to auctions where proceeds go to cancer research etc. As far as I know he dedicated himself to these charities etc large the last few years.

im going to miss the guy. Not that i knew him but he was a celeb i actually really had a lot of respect for and looked up to. The man didn't come off phony and he always seemed to respect the business he was in and use it for good aswell as a career for himself.

Your entire list is SPOT-ON! Especially nice touch with "Paris Trout" and "Red Rock West" :D

That said, tis a pity about Dennis and that he had to be taken out by cancer. Quite the filmography he leaves behind though! Also, he was an extremely astute art collector with an enviable museum-worthy personal collection. Wonder if some or all of it will be donated to a museum or auctioned off for charitable purposes for say cancer research.

There's a certain moderator here whose posts always reminds me of the scene in Blue Velvet where Hopper delivers the "Here's to your ****, Frank!" line.
