In the season opener Derrick Rose took 31 shots to score 26 points. If you add up the two trips to the free throw line then he used up 33 possessions to score his 26 points which simply isn't good...

I agree. Derrick can easily get in the paint and be able to draw contact. I believe the Bulls could've won that game if Rose didn't take so many unnecessary jumpers.

they could have won that game if the bulls played like there was an offensive system in play.

Why did Nick Friedell write about Rose after the game, being covered in ice bags in the locker room, and then Doug writes that Rose needs to take more contact? Blame the refs for the FTA's, not Rose.

We lost because OKC has chemistry, this team is still building theirs. It sucks, but oh well, you can't judge the whole 82 game season on it.

I blame the Thunder for, simply, being a better team than the Bulls.

Thabo Sefolosha is a DPOY candidate. He made Rose's life miserable in the second half, and forced him into taking contested/altered shots and lay-ups.

If you want to criticize Derrick Rose on anything... it would be much easier to point the finger at this game outside of 5 feet. He shot a very high percentage from around the rim... it was his jump-shot that wasn't falling.

I agree that Rose is no Paul Pierce, Kevin Durant, or, even, Corey Maggette when it comes to drawing body contact. But I'm not going to scapegoat Rose's inside game. Or the refs. OKC won because they are better than the Bulls - at least without Boozer.

I´m completely ok with the midrange jumpers Rose took. But he had his minutes where he was firing up a couple of threes. I don´t know the % he shoots the threes in practice but they didn´t look good against the Thunder.

i agree. rose draws away from contact almost every time he goes to the basket. thats why he doesn't get his call to go his way. but he needs to learn how to draw it and not get injured in the same time.
