If this has already been discussed please forgive me (i'm catching up on about 4 months of news all at once).

What's the deal with Derrick Rose promising to be on a tv and then telling the limo to beat it when they came to his house?

He's too young to be big-timing people like that.

He shouldn't have agreed to do it. I don't know all of the details, but given what I have read and assuming its true, he should have handled it in a classier way.

Yeah, it is a big whoop, he was contracted to show up and he didn't. He was committed to show up and he should have showed up. Its all about image. He knows better than that...period.

Completely agreed. You don't want to be on tv, don't sign up for it.

I guess when my only concern is what he does on the basketball court, I dont care that his missed a filming of some show that isnt basketball related. If it were to affect his ability on the court, then I can see caring about it, but I feel this wont have much affect on anything he does on the court.

I couldn't care less what Derrick Rose does off the court as long as he didn't commit a felony.

He overslept... shit happens. It was a mistake, but I don't care whatsoever.

The worst thing Derrick Rose (mostly likely) did involved having someone else take his SAT for him that officially wiped out Memphis' entire season.

If his image is fine after that then I'm sure it will survive this hit.

I like Derrick Rose but you must understand, that the livelihoods of people are at stake. Television is a business just like sports is. If you are contracted to show up, agree to show up, and then don't.....it affects people. From the time I read about the article, several people were on set that day to shoot because Rose was supposed to be there.

If somebody doesn't show up for a sports game, it's a little different.

I love Rose but I am not going to sympathize with him not showing up to this. If you sign a contract, you gotta do it.
