NBA Analyst, Michael Wilbon, a Chicago native, joined Waddle & Silvy’s ESPN Radio’s program Wednesday morning to talk NBA Finals as well as Derrick Rose’s recent trip to Alabama. Wilbon discussed what he’s heard about Rose’s trip to visit renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews just 5 weeks after surgery to repair his left ACL.
“I hear things are not going well,” Wilbon said sternly. Wilbon stated that he was in Chicago this past weekend (6/15-6/17) and “heard from a couple of people who are in position to know, that things are not going that well with the rehab.”
Wilbon attempted to smooth things over but then went back to his original consensus: “recovery periods have their ups and downs…but I don’t hear that things are rosy…I’ve talked with people over the weekend who are concerned with where it is right now”.
Talk about a flipped switch on the outlook of Derrick Rose’s recovery, the first reports coming from someone outside the Chicago Bulls immediate camp.
