If you did, were you hoping that Lester got away?

I watched it..Great series.....Lester deserved everything he got..He was a stupid, stupid man... Even though his wife was one annoying *****, she wasn't as annoying as Lester was. Maybe those "doncha knowers" up in Minny never heard of a divorce?

One thing they didn't resolve was what happened to that money that Stavros (the grocery owner) hid in the snow where he found it years earlier...Did Malvo eventually get it??

I could be wrong but Stavros was under the delusion that God was calling on him to return the money. Obviously God wasn't communicating with Stavros so I was under the impression that the money was buried and then lost to time.

I think the burying of the money was a nod to the original movie that had an identical scene in it

I'm about 5 episodes in- liking it very much. Billy Bob is great.

I also just acquired Penny Dreadful- the Showtime series. Just watched one episode thus far.

I thought it was the only direct connection between the movie and the tv show. I assumed it was the same money the Steve Buscemi character buried in the movie. The movie took place in 1987 the tv show 2006, so the time line is about right.

Oh yeah, great show.

Buscemi told a story about how it went when the Coen brothers showed him the script for the movie Fargo, his character was called "the funny looking guy". He asks the Coens what they were thinking for makeup, like funny teeth or something. They said no, nothing, just regular movie makeup.

Burn.

Buscemi makes light of his looks a lot. Love it.

That is what I thought too.

(recently re-watched the movie)

I wonder if they use it again as a tie in to another story for another season of this show...or was the show a one and done thing?

Great story...well acted. Loved letting Lester think that he got away with it and his whole life goes on a massive upswing before it all burns to the ground.

("Is this what you want, Lester?")

Fantastic vehicle for the always awesome Billy Bob Thornton.

I would love to see another season of the series, but they already set the bar pretty high.

I would love to see another season with new characters like True Detective. The buried cash being the common thread.

Anything the Coen brothers are involved in get's the benefit of the doubt.

It is supposed to be another 10 show arc.

The guy that wrote it was signed to a 2 year contract. Nothing is confirmed, though he did say if the show were to continue it would be about different characters and a new story each season.
