There should be a running clock between shutouts on here...or maybe like the right field sign at Wrigley that shows between WS wins



If there can be a Q line generator...why not this

As nice as a shutout is, I still think the most important thing is stopping one more, or scoring one more, than the other team.

Well when you think about it they kind of do... A shutout guarantee's points.

On a technicality of a 0-0 shutout and losing in the shootout. It's points, but less than, say, a 2-1 win.



IMHO I still think the most important stat is collectively stopping at least one more than the other guys and scoring at least one more than the other guys.

I totally agree, and especially so far this season it has been a non-issue, but last season I was more than a little concerned about our defensive abilities. Guess it is the wrong time to talk about it though.

I don't think Crow is laying awake at night these days worrying about a shutout like it seems some of us are....his confidence is building with each W, and it's apparent he's worked off-season on some issues that are noticeably improved so far this season.
