I'm putting myself on record for an OT at #20. However, I heard some good things about this kid listening to Jim Miller on Bears All Access. It sounds like he's always had those early round grade, but no 2020 tape on him because the FCS was delayed until the Spring might have hurt him if it wasn't for the Senior Bowl. Here's a write-up on him from profootballnetwork.com:

After garnering early-round attention not so long ago, it felt like the hype around Dillon Radunz had dissipated. Consider that hype to be well and truly back after the North Dakota State offensive tackle emerged as one of the big winners of the 2021 Senior Bowl.

The 6’5″, 304-pound tackle won consistently in one-on-ones through the week. He showed little signs of rust after NDSU’s season was delayed until the spring. Exhibiting good footwork, athleticism, and a strong base, Radunz made some impressive plays, including one against Rashad Weaver.

Additionally, Radunz showcased his versatility by taking reps both at tackle and at guard. He could have an NFL future at either position. Radunz’s play this week was rewarded with him being named the overall practice player of the week.

Now I hate playing the waiting game, but if this guy can stick around to the Bears pick in the second round, then I could be down with Vera-Tucker in the first. That then gives you two highly thought of O-linemen in the top 52.

Good thing this is a deep OT/ All O-line draft. Im willing to bet they let Bars take RT with a veteran and draft only 1 OT. But I'd be down with OL in both the 1st/2nd round. It all depends on what happens in FA/Trade market.

Admittedly, I did not know that. That said, it doesn't change my opinion that OT should be the pick at #20.

I agree if he doesnt use the pick to acquire a QB(Watson, Tua, or others) or trade up to get a QB.

Really good OT draft, but I still love your double dip plan. They've neglected the position for too long and this is the best year to make it right.

I’ve thought about Bars at RT, as well. He played T in college. I don’t know if his type of play/skill sets him up to be a success at RT. I hope so.
The Bears. Red to go OT with one of those first 2 picks tho.

Hub was on the Score today talking about trading for Watson, and he mentioned that there are at least a half dozen other teams that can offer better packages. I agree with him. Part of the reason for my two threads today are to at least generate some conversation that doesn't revolve around trading for Watson, which really isn't realistic. Don't get me wrong, if you can get him, go get him. I just don't think it's in the cards. So we might as well talk realistic options at QB, like Mac Jones, Kyle Trask, and (as I shrug my shoulders) Jaime Newman.

Problem is with acquiring Watson and to give up the draft capital and the best young defensive players, it would be a few years to be a true contender. But it is worth it. My hope was the 3way trade with Miami sending Tua here for #20 or another package. Its a much bigger risk but it could pay off--Tua is far from a sure thing unlike Watson.

He looked great at the Senior Bowl from what I saw, very agile, nice balance, stronger anchor than I thought he would have.

As others have mentioned, lots of good OT prospects.

Ideally they draft the quarterback at twenty and find a way back into the first for an offensive tackle but if that's not possible I would probably rather have a guy like in the OP than another developmental quarterback prospect. That goes doubly so for the second round. Build the team through the trenches and success inevitably follows.

I'm not a Tua fan, plus the Dolphins just hired Charlie Frye as their new QB Coach. Frye has worked with Tua in the past. I'm not sure you make a move like that if Tua isn't in your long term plans.
