what!?!?! why? he's old, he doesn't post up. he's overweight. his shooting efficency is comparable to josh smith. Asik is adecent player on defense. i'd rather take my chances with him, Taj, and boozer.

I don't necessarily make a trade over a 2-month long injury, I consider making one b/c I have no faith in any of the back-ups, either. Taj is good, but you can't play him and Booz at the same time. Asik is good for 2 dunks and 4 fouls in 8 minutes......then what? Thomas? Scal? those guys suck, and are getting paid just as much as some of the guys I listed.

Just saying, for help now, and depth later, maybe it's something that should be looked at.

Again, I'm not saying we need to replace Taj or Asik...I'm saying w/ Noah out, we need DEPTH. I'd love someone that could join the rotation of Boozer, Noah, Taj and Asik. I want someone besides Kurt Thomas and Brian Scalabrine...

And, on any team w/ a legit big, playing Taj and Boozer at the same time is not going to be pretty...their offense may neutralize the situation if Taj is having a good shooting night, but it's not something to depend on.

To reitterate, I don't think we need to get someone to play in front of Taj and Asik...but we need someone that can at least contribute BEHIND them. If Asik gets in foul trouble and Boozer gets hurt...Taj and Thomas/Scal are in the game. That's going to be chalked up as a loss.
