"Hawks or Wolves?" was as legitimate a question as "Cubs or Sox?"?

How far this franchise has come since old Wirtz died.

Actually, phrased this poorly, I'm sure everyone remembers and it wasn't that much compared to Cubs-Sox, but you get what I'm saying.

Rofl, nice thread... Go back to your soccer thread and leave the adults to hockey.

Don't see why being 18 earns me disrespect here, except for the fact that Gunzaan continues raging throughout his non-stop period.

And TBO, I remember being younger, like elementary school young, and preferring the Wolves.

I never thought "Hawks or Wolves" was a legit question.

When they weren't televising home games and the Wolves were winning a lot, the Wolves definitely had a niche fan base, and to an extent, they still do.

Oh I'm sure people thought that way, and still do. I just never did.

I'm sure part of that is my location is a decent drive away from the Allstate. Just never got into the Wolves at all, even in the darkest days for the Hawks.

Sadly, I remember. I was born in 1989 so I lived through the Jordan days (yiippiie) suffered through the heartache of every other sports team we have had since. -_- I hate the Sox by the way. Ghetto chumps

I recall... but I'm now confused what you mean.

I thought you meant when the idea was questioning if the Wolves could beat the Hawks at the time... by how bad those mid 2000s Hawks were; but it seems everyone else is just talking about the idea of going to the games.

I have a friend who still never really cared for the Hawks or the cup win because he always felt like he was a fan of the Wolves after going to many games.

Back when I was in High School I spent 2 years on crutches having surgeries on my leg and I was essentailly laid up those 2 full years.

About 12 months in I got bored with video games and football season was over so I wanted to watch hockey, but with the Hawks not on TV I found the Wolves and watched like every one of their games that year.... they were entertaining games and they won alot, so it filled a void for sure and honestly it turned me on to hockey so once the Hawks came back I became an avid Hawk fan.

I credit the Wolves for getting me in to hockey... but now with work and shit the Hawks are all I have time to watch.
