In his last press conference, Lebron spoke of executing a gameplan during the offseason. He didnt say, come up with a game plan. He said execute the game plan. You may think its semantics but theres also his body language, which has changed. He didnt show the bounce in the last round. He looked like a guy who was in his last week at a job. I think you saw it in the other players as well.

I have a feeling that some players on the Bulls might even know. Derrick Rose, who is not the biggest talker insisted that the Bulls are bringing in "someone". Joakim Noah also referred to paying a FA a lot of money. So, maybe he knows something. These things could be a probability more than a certainty but things really seem to line up.

And recently Scoop Jackson spoke of Derrick Rose and Lebron James talking on the phone. Id be curious to know when that happened but Scoop mentioned this the day after the Cavs lost game 6. This means that either Lebron and Derrick were talking before the Boston series concluded, or it means they spoke immediately after (that night or the next morning). If thats the case (that they spoke after the game), that would also suggest that either Scoop has a really good connection to know it that fast OR it means that its been common knowledge by some people who exist behind the scenes.

Am I off here?

I think July 1st begins a week of negotiation and nothing can be officially/formally done until July 8th.

I think LeBron has known where he's going for a long time now, how could you not have thought about it?

I really hope he comes. Its the best fit for him in many ways. He gets the big city and money he wants, as well as a great YOUNG supporting cast. Match it up. NY - Big City, $$$, Terrible team. CHI - Big City, $$$, On the rise team with young, preliminary all-stars (Noah + Rose) Throw in Luol Deng's name in there as well unless his moved in a S+T for C.Bosh. Oh, and did I mention the legacy of Michael Jordan? The only other team I see him going to instead of the Bulls would be the Nets... IF they draft John Wall, best-friend of 'Bron, and still have cap space to go after a FA. Regardless, its great to be a Bulls fan right now.

It would be epic if the Nets didn't get it.

I don't see him going to the Nets, he could stay in Cleveland, and get a better outcome.

The only team he can come to where he has a legitimate chance at a title is Chicago.

Hell. With the way the draft goes sometimes, a team can sweep in from nowhere and grab the 1st pick, just think about the Bulls getting it, I can easily see the Nets not getting that pick.

Well, really, it's stacked WAY against them when you think about it. They have the best chance of getting it, but chances of them getting it are slimmer than you'd think...if that makes sense.

LeBron obviously has had trouble winning with the Cavs. With 'Tawn and Shaq getting a year older, a new coach coming in, I doubt he stays with them. The nets, if they get Wall, would have Wall, Harris, Lopez, Bron and a FA that Bron could lure in. IMO, going to the Nets would give him a better outcome. Chicago being the best though.

He would have to wait 2 years to be in a major market tho...and that, to me, is the biggest question...is he willing to wait the extra 2 years?

I dont think Wall will have any influence whatsoever. If Lebron is lookign at the make up of the team, and sees Rose and then sees Wall on the Nets, thats a no brainer. Rose has done it in the NBA. Rose was a wrecking ball against Lebrons team in the playoffs, not Wall. If Lebron is motivated by winning a title, he wont put his fait in an unproven rookie when playing with Rose is an option--friend or not. He's been friends with his Cavs teammates and where has that gotten him?

I think the fact that our core players compete when it matters most counts for a lot. Both Rose and Noah are winners and show up when the lights are brightest. Lebron could use a little help in that regard. Cleveland has had a loaded team over the past two years--if you look at the regular season. But his teammates have also disappeared in the playoffs.

to be honest im tired of hearing about wall, too much hype imo.

i hope he goes to Detroit or Philadelphia.

I'm sure LeBron already knows what he wants to, he just can't tell us yet. That doesn't mean he'll get what he wants, but c'mon. Who's gonna say no to having LeBron on their team?

Personally, I think he decided what he wanted to do just before he decided he was gonna change his jersey number from 23 to 6. (I wonder why he would do that?)
