This team is so freaking mediocre (at best) that it's not even funny anymore. I have tickets to Cubs vs. A's next week. I took work off 2 months ago...and I don't even want to go. It's just a money dump...

Even worse...I have tickets NEXT month, too. At least it's Cubs/Cards and I'll be 21 by then...so I won't even have to remember the game (my wallet will)....

I would care along with a lot more people if the Cubs fire Pinella. He looks like a bum and that he does not care no more. The Cubs need a manager who is smarter.

i was at the game today. and there is nothing worse than fucking brewer fans who haven't won shit since a pennant in '82 going on and on and on about how long it has been for us as cubs fans after one fucking loss.

...but i did get a batting practice ball hit by either kosuke or fontenot. so that's pretty cool.

I care. It hurts so bad to watch the thing that I care about most in life, perform this way.

As I wrote in today's game writeup, the loss isn't very surprising as the Cubs are making it the "norm" to find ways to lose (classic trait of bad teams).

I have tickets to the July 15th game against the Phillies. It's the 1st game after the all-star break so at least I'll get to see Holladay vs. whoever the Cubs decide to run out there.

  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Just a bit of sunshine in the darkness of Chicago baseball.......its less than 3 months till the Blackhawks open training camp.

I care. I have a dinner riding on the hope the Cubs make the playoffs.

On a side note, Byrd is leading the NL in BA.
