How is Jeanty as a prospect compared to Gibbs?

FA will obviously be a big determining factor. I hope guys like Simmons, Nolen or Mykel Williams is the pick if Abdul Carter is gone, which he will be.

But if they get a guy like Zeitler in FA to man RG and target a LG in the 2nd round, I can see a pick at 10 that is very unexpected, such as Jeanty.

I hope they go trenches early and often also, but adding 2 Gs is a good start to upgrade the OL.

This will be a very interesting offseason.

I absolutely expect the Bears to draft another RB. This is a great draft for them. But OL and DL needs should trump any RB for at least the 1st and 2nd rounds, probably even the 3rd round.

Seriously though you can get Guards and Centers in r2 I’m not going to be mad at Jeanty as the pick. RBs are a big deal.

That said they gotta spend in FA cause it’s both lines we gotta get more pass rush as well. If they go all out and then draft the RB that’s cool.

I know your question wasn’t directed at me, but for me it really depends on FA. Say for example they sign Zeitler and Mack (or Becton and Chase Young, whatever). And they target LG like Milum and DL like Deone Walker in the 2nd.

Taking Jeanty wouldn’t be the end of the world.

That said, Nolen is my guy. I think he has a higher ceiling than Mason Graham. I know I’m probably in the minority opinion there, but I think he will be an incredible pro.

Brother. They will not solve all their trench problems in FA. And like it or not they are tied to Swift for one more year financially
