With our offensive line seeming to improve each week (at a slower pace than some would like) we are faced with the decision of start Carimi vs Philly if he is healthy enough to go. Whats everyone think the decision will be?

I say no. There's absolutely no need to rush him back from injury with Lance Louis playing as well as he has been. Louis has done nothing to deserve getting yanked for Carimi. No way Carimi gets moved to LT either, as he shouldn't.

He is probably our best lineman. It gives us a chance to HOPEFULLY replace Webb on the outside were correct me if I am wrong but he played there his whole college career. Maybe no more 1st and 15s?

by Gene Chamberlain - RT Carimi likely to return after bye
Coach Lovie Smith said he anticipates rookie RT Gabe Carimi will return after the bye week. Carimi suffered a dislocated knee injury in Week 2 against New Orleans. Although WR Earl Bennett (chest) has been going through full practices since late last week, it's likely the team will hold him out of one more game

Let the staff decide. He's going to need experience, but like some have said, none of it needs to be rushed.

If he is healthy, yes you play him. Easy decision.

I say replace Webb with Carimi, Louis has been playing some great ball imo and Spencer is probably our 2nd best OL behind Carimi. Start Carimi at LT

Carimi, Williams, Garza, Spencer, Louis!!!

Yes, no doubt. The OL had looked better, but not to the point, where you don't play your best OL.

Yes you go back to the unit that you started the season with because it was perceived best.

Carimi is only an NFL RT, how hard is that for people to grasp. He played LT at Wisconsin in a run, run, run the fucking ball first Wisconsin oriented system. The thinking of he was a LT there or Jake Long was a LT there and is a LT int he NFL don't match-up to who Carimi is and what he can do. It didn't work, the entire league knew he was just a RT, that's a big reason why no teams before the Bears drafted him.

I say absolutely. The only way you don't play him is if there is a setback with his knee.

I know Louis has been doing OK, but from what I've seen Spencer has been playing pretty well. I'd play Webb - Williams - Garza - Spencer - Carimi and then you could have Louis as a backup at G or RT, and you could also use him as an extra OL/blocking TE on run formations.

If he comes back, i would rather him replace webb. Webb has seemed like the only weak point in our line the past couple of weeks.

YES! He plays.

He's a 10-fold better run blocker than Lance Louis, and that's the direction we need to go in...a 55 run / 45 pass split.

Speaking of Carimi, I wonder if he was the 1st ever Jew to be drafted in the 1st round? (No Anti-Semitism).

He won't get any better with his ass on the bench
