Seems to be raking in a very small sample size. Just wonder if he'd be worth keeping at least for next year on a min. deal.

I feel better with him at 3B over Olt next year.

I also feel better with Valbuena over Barney at 2B next year.

Walk ratios of #2 hitters:

Castro: 538 PA 20 BB 4% walk rate.
Barney: 426 PA 26 BB 6% walk rate.
Valbuena: 334 PA 43 BB 12.8% walk rate

kinda obvious here.

I know he is on fire. 2 weeks is what it is. He is 30. Lifetime .214 hitter. I guess it is possible that he turned the proverbial corner. My guess is this is just a blip. If he hits ~300 for the next month and change it does not hurt to give him a look next season. I would not even pencil him in for a minor league deal right now.

I agree but like I said I feel better with him vs Olt. Murphy has some MLB experience going on.

I would much rather have Olt. Olt has a lot more potential than this guy

If he keeps it up, he will get a roster spot next year.
