These chips have been my go to tortilla chip for the past 4-5 years but something is different lately. My wife and I both agree that there is noticeably less salt, and even the tortilla chip itself seems a bit different. Anyone else notice this?

A lot of products have changed due to shortages or different reasons. I had an oreo blizzard the other day. Totally different then what it was 2 years ago, it has those cheao fake tasting oreos and the ice cream was off its flavor and thickness. Ive noticed in other products the quality is going down.

Companies that do that are delaying the inevitable-increasing prices and getting the correct product. They don't want to raise prices b/c they are afraid of alienating their guests/customers. Shrinking portions, substituted ingredients, etc. My thinking is raise prices, keep it the same and be rewarded with loyalty and MORE guests/customers when those other businesses go under.

I realize this is about tortilla chips.

I agree. I would have gladly accepted a price increase. Now the chips almost taste stale out of the bag and are way less salted. They had a Goldilocks salt ratio before and have since ruined it. Will need to find a new go to

Short-sighted and crushing by and to the business. But, you reap what you sow.

That sucks. They probably switched a manufacturing bit to save money.
Maybe something like bigger batches or whatever... inconsistent cook time and salting.

I feel your pain- i used to go to Starbucks multiple times a day. I knew I was getting a good product.
For a myriad of reasons that changed a few years back.
1 sub par for every 10, then every 5, then it seemed 50 50.
Had to stop going, because what is the sense in getting yourself a treat just to be disappointed half the time?

1. Make product cheaper/shittier
2. Get bonus for short term growth
3. Move on to another product
4. Return to step 1

I noticed this happened with Chicken in a Biscuit although it was over many years. When I was a kid - that shit was the bomb. So much of that seasoning cacked each cracker. I picked up a box a couple years ago and it was straight up terrible. The qualify of the cracker was worse and very little of the seasoning. **** EM

Literally chicken inside a biscuit is one of the worst flavours for a chip or cracker I have ever tasted and something I associate with grandmothers (not my halve islander gam but definitely the white one on the other side and anyone like her) so it is disconcerting that a actural younger male would be complaining about a drop off in chicken flavouring quality for a cracker that literally always tasted like campbelle's chicken flavored noodle soup inside of a cracker and it isn't even good when you dip it in ranch sauce or a that cheese spread it literally tastes like the inside of a chicken's egg-hole just more saltier I mean are you kidding me? Do you perm and dye your hair blue?

Maybe perhaps try sprinkling vegeta from a polish deli onto the tops and bottoms of your normal wheat thinned crackers and then shove them into the inside of your butt along side of some chicken inside Biscuit crackers you seem to love so much because criticism of your chicken within Biscuit crackers prompted you to provide negative post ratings to my post about how stupid those chicken soup cracker snacks are!
