If they are disappointed at the turnaround in 3 years from gutting the team (which other teams have not), I would hate to see if they were Pittsburgh, Kansas City, or Blue Jay fans that waited over 20 years to get back into the playoffs.

To go from gutting the team entirely, taking the farm system towards, if not to the top, and getting to 97 wins and the NLCS in three plus years is nothing short of remarkable in my book.

I'd like to see anyone do it faster and better, and the "better" part remains to be seen if they can keep on advancing.

Had my doubts for sure as well

I convinced myself to stay on board with "the plan" because Epstein coming to the Cubs didn't make sense for either side if there wasn't a legitimate idea in place to WIN

I love that stuff. I took a lot of abuse over the last few years from people who thought I was an idiot for trusting Theo's plan. A nice thing happened yesterday though. A dear friend of mine, probably the biggest female baseball fan and Cubs fan in particular I know, who was no fan of the plan, called me to apologize for giving me shit. That was classy. She and her boyfriend were at the clincher Wednesday and "basked the glow of her wrongness" her exact words btw.
