As we all know Doug is starting his new job today and won't be posting as much or doing his podcast as often. Many of us are in the first hours of withdrawal.

I list a few coping mechanisms to help in the hours and days to come:

1. Continuously refreshing Chicago Now, in hopes that Doug has started his commute.
2. Cursing the company that hired Doug, hoping it will go out of business.
3. Does Methodone work for this too?
4. Biting fingernails.
5. Emailing Doug 50 times per day asking him to rethink this travesty.
6. Playing the bullsbeat intro on a continuous loop.
7. Sitting in the corner with a bottle of jack daniels sobbing loudly.
8. check the homepage every ten min since the draft awaiting the next podcast
9. ?

Any additions to the list? (I will edit this post regularly to update the list)

I could ask Stephen A. Smith to come over here and fill in for Doug.

Bullsbeat intro in a continuous loop...hmmm all I need is an mp3 file of the intro and that could be done easily.

Thanks but no thanks. Smith could never fill Doug's shoes....

Well personally, I have been sitting in the corner with a bottle of jack daniels sobbing loudly. Doug, come back to us we can change.

Seriously though, its not like he doesn't post anymore.

Because the draft sux that's why & the Bulls took pretty much who we all thought they would. Plus I wouldn't expect a cast until after July 8th, 1) because it's 4th of July week so lots of people are on vacation, & 2) July 8th is the day FA's can sign. There needs to be ample time to make a farewell to BG podcast so don't keep your fingers crossed for anything this week.

I'm still waiting for the Bulls Beat post-draft edition to tell me what my opinion of the Bulls' draft is.

  I'd give you a +1 but Karma was deactivated. So much for me winning the popularity contest. Oh well.

actually your pretty much losing me as well. Its just way to slow around here for me to even bother coming on. How no one starts a press conference thread is beyond me. Love you guys but with 20 members I cant see this flourishing, I tried my best but people are more dedicated to this other forum instead of here.

Haha, you guys kill me.

The first day of work was a really huge adjustment. I feel like I got home and it was time go to bed, there simply is almost no time left in the day. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with ChicagoNow or my podcast.

I wanted to try to get one in this weekend, but I didn't get a chance, and now I don't know if I'll have a shot until next week, by which time the draft news will be kind of dead.

Oh well, I'll probably figure out a schedule soon. I'm hoping to get a decent mobile broadband card so I can at least post on the train.

lol cast now? Haha I think that is too much to ask for. It's great that you got a job though. Obviously that will take precedence since it's...real life. And important.

I think most of us are busy and don't really have time to start boring press conference thread. If it means that much I stop being lazy and start making a bunch of threads

I think the main reason there wasn't one, is because Bulls.com didn't air the press conference live, and none of the radio stations were airing the press conference either. (Not sure what went on with the Score, but I know ESPN 1000 had some technical difficulties regarding the press conference).

No use starting a thread at the time, moaning about how we couldn't watch/listen to the press conference.
