I don't know if there are any poker players here still, but the single most important figure in Poker died yesterday. From the card rooms in Texas before it was legal to stunning the strip and going mainstream, the man, the myth, the legend passed away.

I read Super System, cover to cover in college in 2001 and had a chance to meet him at the WSOP about 10 years ago. Super classy guy. Super sky point to Texas Dolly.

RIP

On a side note, I'll be there playing some of the cheap WSOP events in three weeks. If you see a big white guy in a Bears hat, stop by. No autographs though. F outta here.

  2. Nebraska Cornhuskers
Remember watching him on ESPN on the World Series of Poker shows. Always thought he was super interesting due to how he figured out the odds of winning for various hands well before it became available on the internet and then memorized them all.

The man was fascinating and I look forward to the biopic someday. I'm sure there are way more stories but thought these were super interesting to share.
