I'd also like to go to California... but I've heard only rich old men can afford to go there.

Went to LA for the first time in April.. stayed at a beach hotel in Santa Monica called "The Shore." Highly, highly recommend for a long weekend!! So fun...

Oh god, so many choices. Well it is a dream vacation so I'm going big. I would like to take a year off of work and travel the world. There's so much to see, I don't think I can pick just a few destinations

I miss hawaii too. But I don't want to live there again. For a vacation, I would go back every 6 months(if I could afford it).

For the last two years, I have been planning a vacation to St. Helena.

Just curious, why don't you want live there? I want to retire there (still a looong way to go), and the only downside I see is maybe the isolation and cost of living. But I've only vacationed there, so I've never stayed there for more than 2 weeks at a time.

I like 4 seasons. But I lived there for 3 years, and I had island fever after the first month(for lack of a better term). It is possible to love Hawaii and not want to live there permanently.

If you want to live there, go for it. It's just not for me.
