Wow! It didn't sound like they made a strong enough case.

I think the pictures and testemony of the priest did it. Hard to drown in a tub with no water in it!

If he hires the same people to run his appeals he will rot in jail forever. That defense team were bigger bumbling idiots than the prosecution!

Lopez's closing arguments were a disgrace to the legal profession. He may as well have just read the sports scores for the previous night. Nothing he said made any sense and little of it had anything to do with the case at hand.

I hope this new precedent born from "Drew's Law" will be around for some time to come. There was an overwhelming amount of witnesses that heard a now dead person implicate Peterson or prove his motive.

While I wasn't in the courtroom, and therefore don't know every piece of evidence that was presented, I am a little surprised. The evidence I did hear didn't seem that strong. While I have no doubt the dude is a fuckstick and deserves prison or worse, I don't think they placed him at the scene. They didn't have a murder weapon, they didn't have any proof he killed her. Did he do it? I really wouldn't doubt it. However, I always thought they needed a weapon at the very least. I know they changed the law to nail him, and I gotta say, I ain't keen on that.

I would wager dollars to doughnuts that if Drew wasn't such a cockbag, if he kept his mouth shut, if he didn't go on a tour of "no, I'm a cool dude" all over, if he didn't publicly challenge the cops to get him, if he was a bit sympathetic to the average layperson, I bet the outcome woulda been different.

I can honestly say that I didn't follow things at all regarding any of this.

I suppose you kind of have to sit on the Jury to understand it.

90% of all criminal cases outcome in a guilty verdict. They don't all have the murder weapon.

Like I said, I wasn't sitting there, and I wouldn't doubt there were things said or done that could sway a dude one way or the other.

Cops always want the murder weapon.

Sure, on TV. Have you ever taken a criminal justice course or one more specific like an evidence technician course?

seriously. The casey anthony case was open and shut compared to this one, and they didnt have enough to convict there. It really surprises me.

No I haven't, and I would bet not many, if any, of the jurors did either.

I have talked with many police over the years. In the instances where they weren't reading me my Miranda Rights.....

A few friends are cops and they have stated they want the weapon. Really, any and all evidence makes the job easier.

Easier, yes. But not a deal breaker.

Ezactly. I think both are guilty but... well, surprised at both outcomes.

I think Drew's attitude probably put a bad taste in the juror's mouths. I mean, these jurors werent on lockdown for 5 years, they had to know what the guy was like. Anthony, constantly looked like a scared kitten.
