Hopefully now he can get and stay healthy. Need more teams to knock Miami off.

Screw that. If Miami gets knocked off, the Lakers have an easy road to the championship. The consequences of LeBron winning his 2nd title is nothing compared to Kobe winning his 6th. No Lakers' fan will ever shut up with the Jordan comparisons.

MJ comparisons will never stop. And Kobe is the best of all the ones to argue about. LeBron isn't worthy yet. Plus, I like Kobe so it doesn't bother me. But LeBron does.

Couldn't disagree more...both are worthy of comparison to Jordan, though neither is as good as he was. Lebron is the most talented of the 3 and while he doesn't have the rings...he does have the MVPs...another symbol of individual greatness realized in the NBA.

He is most definitely worthy of comparison. Don't believe me? Ask Scottie Pippen...

Scottie Pippen isn't the most unbiased one to ask. Pippen definitely would like more credit for those 6 championships. Not to mention, he and Michael weren't exactly best friends.

Which is exactly the reason why it doesn't matter whether or not Kobe wins 6 titles...the Lakers fans are going to make the argument NO MATTER WHAT. Lebron will get those same arguments too. To me, they both currently fall quite short of Jordan, so while they are as Hou would say "in the conversation" I think it's a pretty short conversation to anyone who has seen them all play. MJ is the best...no doubt.

That said...Kobe was on a team with 3 other HOF players (actually I don't think Payton is in...but he's probably going to get there eventually) in 2004 and lost to the Detroit Pistons...there's no guarantee that the Lakers will just waltz over everyone on their way to the title.
