California would need to collect power consumption data, make assumptions as far as who is engaging in bitcoin mining, and then investigate and provide proof someone or some group was consuming power for bitcoin mining.

Then they'd need to file suit to cut off power or order some kind of cease-and-desist.

And all the miner needs to do is move the gear somewhere else with power and start again.

Crypto is the future, we need to figure out how to accommodate it, not demonize it.

I thought we learned our lesson with prohibition of alcohol or weed or other socioeconomic commodities.
