My favorite teams
5PM at Toyota Park.
If you weren't there, you missed a hell of a good time.
USOC semi-final vs. Richmond Kickers on 30Aug. tix now on sale on the Fire's website.
In the event that you don't know, we are 2 games away from hoisting our 5th USOC trophy--which is tied for all-time for the most, and the most of the 'modern era'--from 70's-present.
the USOC is one of North America's oldest professional sports tourney's. Do a quick google search to learn more!
if that tournament is so good? why didnt it become a league or havent i heard about it before?
Nobody really cares about the tournament, but the game was just great.

That is inaccurate. from a local pub team that gives it all to the MLS sides that take it seriously, the USOC matters to people. In Chicago, it matters to the FO, the team, the fans and supporters. We want to make history, and we are the kingsofthecup!
EDUCATE YOURSELF. This link shows a series of short videos regarding the history of the Chicago Fire in the USOC--it is made, directed, and produced by fans of the club and those interested in knowing more.

Oh, I know. Different teams have different priorities. to try to make it 'more meaningful' to the top side teams (MLS), the USSF has now placed a CONCACAF Champions League spot on the line for the winner of the tourney in addition to the cash. So they're trying to make it more relevant for the teams that don't feel it is.
The lack of televised thing is hard since none of MLS national broadcasts have jurisdiction on the rights--since it's USSF property, technically. It's annoyingly complicated and it takes viewing away from the fans......sucky.
All of the games have been streamed on either the Fire's site or the competition they've played against.
August 30th is a home game. Possible the last home game of this run (unless they bid HUGE for the final)......you should just go to the stadium for this one and not watch it.
