Duncan, the season and the playoffs.

I'm not a giant Rogers fan but this is a very good piece.

Explains some about Duncans crazy off the wall season.

Answers some of the things many have speculated and adresses the differences in why they are playing the way they are right now, verses at times during the regular season.

That was refreshing.

Humanizes these guys when they are honest and open like this. Dunc probably said some things there we fans don't want to hear but the honesty like in any other walks of life are invaluable.

hats off to Dunc for admitting what he did here. Now here come the "but he gets paid more in one year than I will see in my life" crowd to bash him.

Great read. The Torres comment confirms what many of us thought.

Its nice to see the honesty. I can totally understand how this team could be just plain burned out after all of the hockey they played last season.

I believe all of the sports seasons are too long, even though I like watching the games. The owners just milk it for as much as they can get. Baseball is especially too long of a season.

It's like what Babcock said. Once you go all the way, you have a hard time convincing yourself that the regular season means anything. Great Article!

Playing devils advocate here, but I thought everyone was taught to play for the logo on the front and not the name on the back?

You don't know what to think until your in that position I guess. Once you are at the top, where very few have been, I would think everything gets kind of foggy after that. Stanley Cup and Gold Medal in the same year. No time after before the new season arrives. As someone said Babcock also mentioned this a couple of months ago.

He also kind of explains the why and reason, for him at least, of what you questioned in the article doesn't he?

I among many others have been pretty hard on Duncan this year. I thank him for some insight because it shows the human side of these athletes and gives insights directly into their play on the ice. Fans notice the play but rarely have the correct answer as to why it's like that.

No Charlie I wasn't reading BSPN, this new fangled thing called twitter sends these "hockey" articles right to me. Technology, go figure.

I wish there were more articles that about the players, as RK said, we only see them as players and not there personal life .

The time they put in for the game is tremendous . Not just the practice but all the conditioning and weight training.

Well Ron I don't tweet, text, face book or none of that stuff, if I want to read about hockey I have to go look for it.

May be when I get older and more time on my hands I'll try that stuff.....
