Mooney credits Robinson for his development, Robinson showed him how to be a professional. I wonder if he would be willing to do the same thing this year if we get a new raw WR?

It is what good team players do, and it might just endear him with both the Bears and other teams, AND it might make him disposable in the Bears eyes come next off season....reality is that might be a good thing for Robinson to be a FA so he can pick his situation.

Robinson might just be a better fit for AD, because he threw a lot to an unknown TE last year at Dallas, so the possession type receiver like Robinson would be better than a burner like this kid or Mooney.

"His 61 catches were a franchise record. "
-Erik Lambert
:brady:

Was that for a rookie? I thought Kevin White had 120 catches in his rookie season, right?

I just watched some of his film. He's fast. I'll give him that, but he doesn't separate the way that you'd want a slot to. He rounds his routes.

My rule of thumb with Senior Bowl reps is that the rep is bogus after 2 seconds. If I don't see a break or a separation right away, then it isn't a realistic rep since it is one on one with nobody taking away either the high or low underneath, like a D would actually do. If you look at his reps, he drops a deep ball, rounds in close, and gets abused at the line.

I wouldn't mind picking up with our last pick in the 6th. He has some speed and has played rb. He also has some experience at CB, so he may be able to contribute in all phases of ST, returner and gunner.

He is below Cade Johnson in my book. Just compare the two of them and it is easy to see which one is a basic go route one trick pony that may catch the ball and which is a sleeper that will get reps on day one.

Obviously, he is nowhere near my man Elijah Moore, who I consider the standard by which slot receiver should be judged in this year's draft.

I watched the video in the link. At around the 40 second mark when he scores a TD they did this weird reverse lighting thing that made all the grass flash yellow.

So after I woke up from my seizure I realized that I missed the rest of the vid.

LOL, this guy is going to go in the third if not sooner. . Fast as hell, has good hands, and is still a little raw. I brought this guy up almost two months ago.

He's currently being mocked as early as the 2nd round.

He's no Mooney who was not invisible to scouts, had better overall chops and still went in 5. Doesn't mean he can't rise up boards as oft happens.

His stock is much higher than that of Mooney at this time last year.

I know that and likely due to not being as lean as Mooney. Competition level and thin build is what dropped Mooney. By now, everyone knows I loved Mooney but I also expected him to go where selected. Just made the love stronger. I'm a big fan of late round steals. i also tend to be wary of late risers though sometimes worthy.

Eskridge is another one of my guys in this draft. This draft has a ton of speedy slot guys and he's the most interesting to me. He's a little older than the others, probably not quite as good of a route runner as some, but I like the value of Eskridge in the 3rd over say, Kadarius Toney at 20.

I really like that he has DB experience, and I think he can use that as he further develops his route running.

Of course. Last year, there was first round WR talent in the 3rd round. This year, there is not the wealth of receiver talent so he will not get pushed back like Mooney was last year.

Negative. Some are saying that this might be the most talented WR class of all time. Up to 20 WR's might go in the top 100

Dude is already 24. Stay away from old ass prospects. Same issue with Floyd and Miller. Guys that old should have already been in the NFL so you are looking at a prospect who is essentially NFL age playing against college guys.

I'd pass on him and find someone else later in the draft.....don't like 24 year old 5 foot 8 rookies
