Dwyane (yes I spelled that right) Wade, the superstar Miami Heat player who is originally from the south suburbs is a free agent on July 1st which means he can sign with any basketball team of his choosing. In reality, due to salary cap rules there are only a handful of teams that have a shot at him including our hometown Chicago Bulls. Most free agents choose where they will play based on money. But after that and all things being equal, things like winning, weather, family, etc. come in to play. While Wade, Lebron James, Chris Bosh and others will be making these decisions soon, Wade has an important factor that might make him a Chicago Bull.

Wade and his high school sweetheart wife Siovaughn are going through a hotly contested divorce right now. Although he lives in Miami, she presumably moved back to Chicago and filed the case here. Since she filed in Illinois they are both subject to Illinois laws. She has accused him of being physically and emotionally abusive. He asked the Judge to make her go through a psychological evaluation. They are both battling for custody of their two children which currently is split between them until a July 19th trial date.

While the accusations and custody battle are normal in Illinois divorces, if D Wade is serious about getting custody over his children that could lead to him becoming a Chicago Bull. The reason that is true is that under Illinois law, a custodial parent can not remove the children from the state without the permission of the court. In other words, if Dwyane wants the children to be with him in Miami, New York or any other potential city, he can only do so if the Judge grants what is called a petition for removal.

This was something i was thinking of about a month back. But he has the money to hire the best help and im sure his family would be willing to help him in Chicago if he does stay in Miami. I know it sounds messed up but lets hope the judge forces Wade to live in Chicago to watch over his kids. The people of Miami and the pressure of that awesome nightlife could get Wade into trouble.

So let me get this straight: You all want a player to come play for the Bulls eventhough he really wants to be somewhere else?

I want people who really want to be Bulls, not someone who are forced to come here.

fair enough.

i also want players that are committed to join the bulls and help us win a championship.

It was his favorite team growing up and i know he likes the supporting cast. I dont think he wouldnt want to be here, he just would rather stay in Miami.

But he also has yet to sign his contract so im sure hes open to the change of scenery.

Wade has single-handedly carried bad Heat teams into the playoffs by himself. He's one of the leagues most explosive scorers and he gets calls almost as much as LBJ and Durant. He plays both ends of the court too. I would rather have LeBron or Bosh but i still want Wade. I want anyone that helps this team and makes them better.

DWYANE WADE will not be a CHICAGO BULL.

Mark my words friends. He's already done enough to not be wanted back home for his blatant disrespect of his home town team.

I WANT Dwyane Wade as a Chicago Bull if LeBron doesn't come here. All that talk of him and Rose putting them into "NBA hell" is utter, utter, utter bullshit (and simple-minded on all accounts).

Of we would take Wade. Thing is, he is about 3rd or 4th on 90% on Bulls fans lists as of now I bet. He belongs back here it's obvious in a lot of ways. I'd still be pullin' for him to come to the Bulls over anyone if he didn't get ignorant & talk smack on his own home town.

He didn't talk smack on Chicago. He talked smack about the Bulls' ownership. He was off-base, and he had underlying motivations (keeping free agents away from here). But I can't blame him for being a bitter 90s Bulls fan. Who didnt resent ownership after that? I was 11 so I didnt care too much... but yeah

Yes, I know it was literally to city he talked on. I was just emphasizing on my point. I was also roughly 10/11 when all that happened with the Owership/FO & did care much then either. Haha

Now that we're older we pay attention to detail more so it effects us differently.
