The Kings will be very good next year. But they're likely losing Gaborik to FA after he led the NHL in postseason scoring. Next season, Justin Williams (aka Mr. Game 7), Jarrett Stoll and Alec Martinez all hit unrestricted free agency and due for big raises. Pearson and Toffoli, 2/3 of the 70s Line, hit restricted free agency among others. I don't know much about the Kings' farm system but I don't believe it's as stocked as the Hawks' system is. They've likely got one year left as a serious contender before they'll need some serious re-tooling.
