Did Flus signed 4 or 5 years contract?
Unbelievable if true. They gave a rookie HC a 5 year contract... Likely means he's hear next year as well. FMLBiggs is reporting as of 10 minutes ago 5.
Keeping him will cost you more than eating up the mistake 'ownership' made.
I'm guessing it's not a top tier deal so not a huge hindrance but it did make him leaving last year a non-issue. He's now picked 3 out of 4 coordinators that seem to have failed and the 4th is his shadow that hasn't helped prevent the fail of the previous week or the end of last weeks 1/2. About all FlusH has accomplished is to hire assts that aren't qualified to even temporarily assume his job if canned.Unbelievable if true. They gave a rookie HC a 5 year contract... I think it's a pretty big issue given that we know that ownership doesn't fire HCs mid season. They have shown that they will "eat" the last year of a contract, but I don't know about two years...I'm guessing it's not a top tier deal so not a huge hindrance but it did make him leaving last year a non-issue. I see no reason to make the team even worse by vengefully embarrassing him mid season. Lose him at the end of the year when you can replace him. Who do you propose be HC for 1/2 this season? If I fire anyone right now, it's Waldron. Problem is that his assts have very little experience. ****, lets go old school and let CW call his plays.I think it's a pretty big issue given that we know that ownership doesn't fire HCs mid season. While thats true, they've not seen someone like williams and for all his ups and downs hes really the best prospect the bears have ever had and thats with this idiot waldron...do they really risk him getting ruined all to save 1 more year of money?I think it's a pretty big issue given that we know that ownership doesn't fire HCs mid season. I would make hightower the interim, he reminds me of fangio where he tells it like it is, no bullshit. its not about embarassing him, players have tuned him out or are tuning him out...I think whoever the HC is needs to keep waldron on a tight leash....eberflus clearly does not and waldron is just all over the place, carroll seemingly had him in check in seattle as it was never this bad there.I see no reason to make the team even worse by vengefully embarrassing him mid season. I get it but Waldron is the biggest issue. The team does not improve with him still here so not reason to make other moves. Having an interim coach puts the team in a bind. If he does well for half a season (or less) then you've created a controversy on what to do at HC in the offseason. While thats true, they've not seen someone like williams and for all his ups and downs hes really the best prospect the bears have ever had and thats with this idiot waldron...do they really risk him getting ruined all to save 1 more year of money?

with the level of retardation on this staff i highly doubt it but i understand your point.Having an interim coach puts the team in a bind. If he does well for half a season (or less) then you've created a controversy on what to do at HC in the offseason.
This season is pretty much sunk, so let it sink to the bottom and right the ship after the season is over.
LOL. Yup spaced. He'd be fine. Lose Flus and Waldron. Fucking let Caleb's gang call plays. It couldn't be worse.hightower is part the of the D lapses? hightower is the S/T coach
i still believe if waldron is reigned in hes servicable...
I recall hearing that his contract brings in a salary north of 4M.
That is not a big number for the operating costs of an NFL franchise, even if you are asset-rich/resource-poor. You can make that up in merch sales from the rising tide of optimism with a promising new coach.
