earned, but yet not the greatest thing for the hawks right now. if he our #1 for however long + a so so defense....it does call for some concern. i dont trust emery to carry out a full season, and long playoff run.

Emery has been a lot better. Still hate him in a shootout though. But as long as the Hawks play well enough that that's not necessary, this is cool.

A couple weeks back I had Crawford, Khabibulin, and Quick as my goaltenders on my fantasy team. Traded Quick to shore up my D thinking that Crawford was solid. ooops

#1 is basically a construct - you go with who is providing results. If Crawford hasn't been winning, they I don't see how you can do anything differently.

OF course some teams (in many sports) automatically go with the highest paid guy in a set role no matter what -but, I have seen that blow up on at least one team (KC Chiefs... Grbac and Gannon).
