Escape Rooms

Has anyone done any escape rooms and if so, how did you like it?

Friends have been trying to get me to go for the last year to a few, and really I don't know a whole lot about them. Didn't know if researching would ruin the experience, or it just being some fad time waster for indoor adventure seekers.

They are actually pretty fun. I've done it a few times as we do them at work as team building exercises or as part of our sign off party after we wrap up an audit.

Never been by myself so that may be a bit creepy but definitely great if you go with a group of people you know. And if you have younger staff or coworkers that you manage they absolutely love it.

I left despbro in one and have yet to hear back from him.... I paid the company 10,000$ to let him starve to death if it came to that.

My school did it in various groups as a team building activity, it was awhile ago, but I remember it being fun. I really like stuff like this and murder mystery dinners, because I'm a dork.

Of course, we had to do the classroom setting, as opposed to the rail car one, which I think we can all agree would be infinitely cooler.

Did it with the family, had fun, interesting to see how everyone worked together.

Have done two of these. It's fun if you do it with the right people. Both rooms varied a lot so I think this will depend greatly on the venue you do it at. Could see one place being awesome and another being very amateurish.

Went once, completed with 9 minutes to spare. Would go again on the condition it was all friends. Wife and I went with 2 couples we knew and were paired up with 4 strangers that were kinda lame.

yeah i went to one with a zombie on a chain and the chain would get longer every few minutes....finding the clues was fucking hard...they set up a bunch of shit in the room that had nothing to do anything..it ultimately turned into an adult game of tag...the zombie was ran ragged
