Thats a good read. Here is a video of DeVoss:

This is what our team could look like in a few years:

C ?
1B Vogelbach
2B Castro
SS Watkins
3B Candelerio
LF DeVoss
CF Szczur
RF Jackson

Give him any two of these guys and let's move on.

Great. Last Place.

ANY two as compensation?

:oprah:

And the article is about what could intrigue THEO as CUBS GM, not Boston as Comp...

And since Epstein's replacement/Boston's FO holds the same philosophy don't you think that if they intrigue Theo they'd intrigue Boston?...............................

And yes. Give any two of those guys up to get Theo here.

If Theo is as good as he's expected to be he will restock after losing two guys.

I'd prefer to keep jackson...but I'm fine w/ giving them any 2 of the rest.

Jackson is the best of the bunch obviously.

I'm not a McNutt fan...especially as a starter.

DeVoss is a slappy middle IFer with some speed who I like a decent amount.

Vogelbach's power is nice but I think the Fielder comparison's are starting to overrate him among fans.

Szczur I like and saw a lot of in person this season. Nothing near untouchable though.

Watkins I like about the same as Devoss and Candelario is a non factor for me as I really like Baez.

Jackson is the closest thing to untouchable on that list...and that's only because he the closest to the majors and more of a sure bet.

Also, this ESPN article is off. Pitchers like Maples and Wells aren't really Theo-esque guys as pitchers and prospects. Theo usually doesn't really go after HS pitchers. There have been a few exceptions but neither of them has the tools that would qualify them as exceptions for Theo. The big issues are they don't have great fastballs and the mechanics are a bit off.

We can't trade DeVoss or Vogelbach yet anyway, you have to wait a year before trading draft picks.

Logan Watkins? Really? Someone needed some filler.

Logan Watkins I can see. He's getting loved down there and hype. A lot of people are talkng about him. So...I'm not surprise. Let's just see what he can do. I heard a lot of great stuff about him.

Dude is 22 and in high A. That's nothing special at all. Plus, he doesn't even do that well in the leagues he has been in.

The only thing that I like is that he has a high OBP and plays 2B. But he's so far away from being a MLer, that it doesn't really matter in getting rid of Barney.
