Most Valuable Player Watch
4. Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls
You know things are going well when you score 30 in a game while fighting neck pain. Carlos Boozer is returning soon. What's that mean? A small dip in points for Rose. (Last week: 7 | Team record: 9-6)

Defensive Player Of The Year Watch
2. Joakim Noah, Bulls: His play is contagious. Derrick Rose is the headliner in Chicago, but Noah does all the behind-the-scenes work that makes the Bulls successful. (Last week: NR)

Coach of the Year

5. (tie) Tom Thibodeau, Bulls and Jim O'Brien, Pacers : Thibodeau has Chicago sitting in first place in the Central Division, and one of his toys -- Carlos Boozer -- hasn't played a minute yet.

O'Brien added the Lakers to the list of heavyweight title contenders his Pacers have knocked off this season. (Last week: 3 and 4)

Thibs has the best chance of winning an award in my opinion...I cant see Rose winning MVP unless the Bulls finish atop the east. I think Howard will win DPOYs for the next 3 years.

We could even get Taj in the 6th man discussion when Boozer gets back.
