So after Hollinger did his piece about which player in the NBA would fit LeBron best(Bosh being the best companion and Rose not because he needs the ball too much and cant stretch the floor), Thorpe did the 2nd part to the 5 part series on how you build around him.

First mentioned was the system where he says "goal No. 1 for our new team is running at every opportunity.". Sound like any team you know?

Point Guard "Our guy has to be a pace pusher who relentlessly attacks the basket in the mold of Derrick Rose or Russell Westbrook. They are both great one-on-one scorers and have big bodies that can punish guards in the paint off cuts and seals, making them perfect receivers for LeBron in the halfcourt."

Power Forward and Center "My dream pairing, however, is Al Horford and Joakim Noah, two selfless guys who are incredible leaders on their respective teams." "Noah (43 percent) has the tools to learn to be a better shooter, opening the lanes for LeBron and our point guard that much more."

Also mentioned that the perfect shooting guard would be a guy like Korver or Morrow. Both FAs and as the whole sporting world knows, the Bulls need a guy like that and are most likely open to it.

So after all of that, which team does Thorpe pick as LeBrons perfect building team? The New Jersey Nets lol. Because they "could land Wall"(this was written pre-lottery). After specifically naming Rose and Noah as perfect matches as team mates and saying how he needs a team with a system that the Bulls run, he picks the Nets.

Yeah, the east coast bias is pretty bad sometimes. Lets just think back to 3 weeks ago and then when Chris Broussard caught everyone off guard last week. Here we are 3 weeks later and more people see how Chicago makes sense. Whats so different now than 3 weeks ago? The east coast was too obsessed with themselves to even notice 3 weeks ago that Chicago was positioned very well.

Well New York was always supposed to be the favorite but it think the Chicago/Jersey supporters are coming out at the same time. What surprised me was ESPNs biggest Chicago Homer, Michael Wilbon talking about him going to New Jersey. But the majority is leaning towards Chicago.

I know ive been sick with ESPNs East coast bias but having LeBron will finally put the Bulls back on the map. It would be nice to hear about our team every day on TV.

Man if LeBron and Noah both took a pay cut(not happening of course) and we signed a guy like Morrow, how sick would that be? But that team listed has 3 All-Stars and a borderline All-Star. SICK SIC SIK

Maybe wilbon doesnt want to jinx it on TV.

I know for a fact that he will love lebron with the bulls, if he says no, he is lying.

Espn has always hated Chicago's teams, there always on bostons and new york's ball sack.

Its funny too because Chicago is one of the biggest sports markets. They should give us a little more attention at times. But you can always count on Mark Schlereth to give negative shout outs to Chicago, ripping Cutler and everyone else that is affiliated with the Bears.

I think thats it. Analytically, he acknowledges every thing about Chicago being well positioned...but in the end, goes with NJ.

Well NJ was supposed to be great because of Wall, lets see where they go now that they will be stuck choosing between Favors and Cousins. Im really sick of hearing about how rich their owner is. We still have a cap.

East coast media thinks that where they live is the center of the universe. It's the same thing that was going on in the days leading up to the Cutler trade. They KNEW he was going to Washington, and look how that turned out. They don't know jack. I can't wait until LeBron comes to Chicago and shatters their perception that he'll end up in New York, just because it's New York.
