My teacher announced to our class Tuesday that he is leaving to become a police officer.

Really wish it was an April Fools joke, unfortunately it's not. He got laid off last year and knew he was going to again this year, so he took the police officer job now, instead of waiting.

It's a shame. He got tagged with, a month before school started this year, 3 new classes, and 1 college level "AP" class. He could never keep up all year.

Worst part was, he was a Chicago sports fan.

Ever heard of a teacher saying he/she was going to be a police officer?

If not, what is the weirdest thing a teacher ever said to your class?

Teacher to police officer. One underpaid job to another. Damn, good luck to him.

Weirdest/Funniest thing a teacher of mine has ever said "David, stop talking about lickin asses!". Best part about it was that I was the one yelling lick my ass in a Russian accent.

I forgot about this part...

This teacher was the biggest pushover in the history of teaching. He let us leave 5 minutes early for lunch and let us use his computer.

Don't see police officer material there.

yeah, that was pretty much verbatim. And I did rub it in his face, and asked how his post-Jesus life was, a divorce, 200 lbs and a house in lonelyville later...

He responded with something about him trying to push me to my extent, because he thought I needed to be pushed...

In 1st grade, my teacher was French. Accent and all. Every day the ***** would wait for my Mom and tell her how bad at English I was. Then came a spelling bee, and I won. The ***** wasnt waiting for my Mom that day :) Of course, like my Mom says, how the **** do you expect someone to learn a language when they cant speak it well either.

It wasn't a teacher but it was this sub. He was the best sub ever no joke,he even has a fan page on facebook lol. My freshman year he talked about how he used to do drugs and everything else he did back in the day.

Haha nah hes a nice guy. Hes actually really smart and does something with making planes or jets or engines for them or something like as well. Hes like the cool teacher that would come in and be like you guys can chill and everything but as long as you're doing your work. He almost never had to have someone get a student out of the room or anything.

Oh another sub I had. He was pretty much like John Madden no joke. Would ramble and said stuff that would make no sense,he was funny as hell lol.

my physics teacher left for iraq back when i was in high school. then we got some old guy and he left the class also. then some other chick. three teachers for one course. it kinda sucked

No. Discussing drugs, among other things, a person did with thirteen year olds is not smart. Good he's a nice guy and book smart because he doesn't have a fucking shred of common sense and doesn't belong working with kids.

I had an ex-HS teacher in my squad at one point when I was in the Army. He wanted to be treated like god and ironically failed to keep up with the rest of us. I'm not saying everyone is like this, just this one blowhard.

Haha yeah you think teachers would hear kids talking about him and what he said and him maybe losing his job or something but never happened.
