Sox are slowly starting to be ran like a professional franchise.

The franchise has come a long way from 40-50 years ago when they almost moved to Seattle/Milwaukee, Veeck having to sell off players just to meet payroll, JR sabotaging 1994, etc. Slowly getting there, I think after 2005 was the start of the team wanted to be taken seriously.

Its all gut feeling, but I think despite what the media, and pessimists say (and I see why they're like that way), I think the franchise is going to hit another golden run soon.

JR was the main man behind the lock out of the players in 1994. The Sox were in first, and were loaded and had a good chance to go to the World Series.

And God isn't real. :troll:

I have no issue with that. It hurt but at best we were only guaranteed a playoff spot.

What JR did was not sabotage

I've been a Sox fan for 30 years, and don't recall a time when the national media was not biased against the White Sox. They don't like this organization, that's for sure. They like to portray us as dysfunctional villians (a threat) while the Cubs get covered as bumblers, but cute and non-threatening. ESPN is the worst, aside from Pardon the Interruption, there's nothing objective or interesting about that network anymore.
