there should have been a Cosmos team before the RedBulls, even before they were the MetroStars. MetroStars, Cosmos, they wanted to go there, but didnt.

Ya, maybe someone still had the copyright then and wasn't willing though, since Pele's group had yo buy it...

It's sad that we're a small soccer market here in Chicago, otherwise we'd be next in line out of cities looking for 2nd teams.

I still maintain that if the Fire actually played in the city limits like all the other major sports teams do that they would have no problem selling out the games almost every night.

In fact, THE ideal location for the team would be directly across from the Target on Roosevelt--access to most major highways and public transit, high foot traffic, near several college campuses and in a location that couldn't get ANY closer to the actual downtown. Imagine partying with all your friends in South Loop and then heading over to a stadium that is in walking distance.....


ahhhh, to dream.


Oh, Chuck Felsea and the same for the Milky Way.

Ya, Toyota is a nice stadium, just not in the preferable location.
