Here are the signings on day 1 of free agency, as they all got overpaid.

Ruday *** 5/81 (max deal)
Darko 4/20
Amir Johnson 5/34
Drew Gooden 5/32

Not a signing but the Hawks have a 6 year 119 million offer on the table. Still wants to test other teams.

To be honest, I really don't like any signing. Thoughts?

Yeah good by *** but not good for the Griz. No team was going to offer him that. And might not even close.

I like these signings, because Deng's contract is slowly becoming fair, and it could help us trade him off if need be.

The better question is, why 5 years? He is always traded so now it could and will be harder.

While that is absolutely comical, Gooden can at least put in some quality minutes. Maybe i missed it but i thought Darko was dead.

At least Milicic is a young big man who can block shots, rebound fairly well, and has some shooting range. Gooden is older (and getting older), beaten down, and not good at all outside of the offensive glass.

Darko can do that but has he? I really dont remember him doing anything but like i said, maybe i missed it. that wasnt a sarcastic post or anything. And gooden isnt that old. Hes the same age as wade.

Gooden plays like an under-sized center. He tried playing the 5 with the Bulls and failed miserably. He just isn't effective as a modern NBA PF anymore. Milicic is a poor man to man defender and awful scorer (but couldn't be worse than Gooden). Gooden also has had some lingering injuries that has really slowed him down over time. 6+ mil for the next 5 is definitely too much. Maybe not horrendous but pretty long amount of time.

They are both overpaid for what they have to offer but lets make this simple.

If you had to chose between one of them for 3 years at the same price, who do you chose?

I saw on CSN that John Salmons also agreed to a new deal with the Bucks.

The Bucks are going to be better. Nice depth added the past couple weeks but they need Jennings to take big steps forward if they want to be in contention in the East,

Mike Miller sucks. It's sad, but due to effort on the court.Darko deserves any contract better then Miller.Miller's too winey & lazy. That's why he was "injured" when he played for the Wolves for the '08-'09 season. lol

The Gooden contract could be better, the last 2 years of the 5 years are team options.
