I don't post much on Facebook but I know some of you do. Facebook apparently changed everyones email addresses on their Facebook pages to a Facebook email. Apparently everyone on Facebook has their email. It made me chuckle.

Like Google, Facebook has almost always changed thing w/o notice. Guess when it is free to use not too many customers will leave from this business practices.

While I still use facebook, I'm beginning to lose interest more and more each day.

I preferred it when I first signed up back in 07, where you didn't have a constant stream of "Mob War" invites, or seeing that my friends watched a certain video or read a certain article.

Go back to being able to just post pictures, write on peoples walls, and post status updates. Seemed less cluttered that way.

I feel that it has gotten less user-friendly.

I have a fan page for my documentary, and I need to moderate comments due to the subject matter of the film. Before the major change to the "timeline," it was much easier to moderate comments-- mostly that I would only allow comments that I approve to be on the page. It seems that it has reverted to a free-for-all, and moderating has become more difficult.

I had an account briefly after giving in to my mother and sister who use it constantly. After 6 months of ingnoring the account I closed it. I may have logged in 3 or 4 times total. I can think of better ways to waste hours of my life I'll never get back.

I have never really been into Facebook or Myspace. I always jump on them late and never use them much.

The reason why facebook is still growing is because folks are stupid. Facebook's user agreement is quite large and cumbersome but at the end of the day they really basically have complete control over ever little bit of information you put on that site. That's fine you say... well of course it is, but here is the fun part. All those large corporations that you don't like now use facebook as a passthrough to get all of the information they want about you and to track you quickly and easily by just getting you to go to "like them" on facebook or accept their app. If you haven't noticed almost all companies these days are moving their website outreach addresses to facebook because it's much easier to get someone to go to facebook.com/nabisco and like their page giving them access to all your info than it is to make someone go to a website and fill it all in. All those nice coupons that people get by liking a page, or contests they enter through a companies facebook page is basically agreeing to Facebooks TOS for that company. It's insane. I have liked some of the things in the past but almost never do it. Anymore.
