Multiple times a day (check it). Good way to keep in touch with folks who don't live near you. Also a good way to track down old friends/schoolmates/co-workers. Other than that, it is pretty much a waste of time.

Been an on and off user for about 3 years.

Good way for people to elicit the attention of other people and ***** about their problems and share useless information about one's hourly activities.

I agree, I rarely personally post anything on there, and when i do I am usually drunk and I just type something profane.

I use Facebook mostly to make amusing statuses, upload pictures, and that's about it. It's a good waste of time. Just don't do that farmville crap.

Also a great way to keep in touch with people you never wanted to see again, but have found you none-the-less.

I believe IHN has a Facebook page. One of the threads on there is a "Who I Am" thread, which lets you know posters match screen names with real names.

Not sure if it's still there.

I think the greatest thing that Facebook has contributed to me is Failbook. This is the true picture of humanity, stupidity, and brilliance.

Speaking of Facebook. It's amazing how powerful a tool it is as well. Look what arose out of Egypt with the help of Facebook. Similar rumblings are starting in Syria because of it.

Twitter and Facebook can both become powerful and dangerous tools in helping incite mobs to action.
