My team isn't going anywhere...what do you think I should do...
It's an NL-only keeper league 260 is the salary cap (increases to 325 after the auction draft for free agents each season)
I would get:
Colby Rasmus (finishes this year only costs 4, and will have him through next year for 7, before he is a FA in 2013 in our league)
and
Pedro Alvarez (finishes this year only costs 1, 2012 costs 4, and 2013 costs 7, FA in 2014)
I send:
Cliff Lee (49 bucks right now, and the guy would have the option to tenure him through 2014 OR throw him back into the free agent pool at the end of the year)
I would tend to think that he wouldn't keep Lee for 52 next year, considering that's almost a fifth of his salary cap. I'll have a ton of room (and I have Wainwright sitting on my DL for 1 buck and I'll have him through 2014) to go get him back...IDK...I just feel like trading Lee and getting back Rasmus is kinda lame. That Alvarez was supposed to be Aramis Ramirez v2.0 but he's hitting like .130 right now...
