Had they caught the guys up here, they'd have gotten about 5 years. In Florida, they'd have gotten 50. They still treat cannabis like crack down there.

Yep, possession over 20 grams is a felony here still and can carry a 5 yr sentence. Less than that is a misdemeanor, but you can still get jail time (not sure if they actually do it though). It's not like it deters anyone though. Lol. They need to be more worried about the fact that this state supplies 80% of the prescription pain killers to the rest of the country.

Unfortunately, the fight between big pharmaceutical companies and the medical marijuana industry will continue for quite some time. They cannot patent a plant and cannot isolate its' over 60 known cannabanoids...and therefore cannot make any $$. So they continue to push narcotic painkillers which over time cause liver and kidney disease.
