Not exactly real original here but it's about the only art I really enjoy. The Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam was amazing.

I am a huge fan of Giger's work.

Also Bob Ross on Netflix is an utter nostalgic delight.

Also greatly appreciated some folks that may not be considered "pure" artists, such as the late, great Albert Whitlock. Google him sometime. You will be amazed how vast his contribution to the world of cinema truly was. And apparently I'm an old fart, but I still prefer matte painting to an artificial looking green screens.

I have more but I am pressed for time. Will report back.

Remember all those iconic movie posters from the 80's and 90's? Drew Struzan. Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Blade Runner...etc. If you can't find at least ONE movie on the list of his works that meant something special to you from that era, then I pity your damaged childhood. Lots of posters these days resemble some sort of photoshop abortion more than art, so it's fitting he gets a nod.

When Tull accepted heavy metal band of the year over Metalica I turned my back on them.
Heavy Metal Flute... WTF?

But yea... Some great covers.
Good times back in the day getting a new LP and looking it over the first time you played it.
One of the finer things lost to a time gone by... Just not the same with a downloaded MP3.

Don Maitz and Frank Frazetta. Reams of book and album cover art between those 2 guys. My avatar is an example of Maitz book cover art from Shadow of The Torturer by Gene Wolfe

Ray Harryhausen. One of the strongest influences of modern special effects. At least before they were cheapened with garbage CGI.

I always liked Rockwell. Also, after a college project, I became fond of Seurat and pointillism.
