Name the one guy that you wish would have ended up good, you defended until he left town, you were convinced for years that this was his "break out season" etc.

Corey Benjamin

I remember being convinced he'd be the next great SG for the Bulls. I also remember on old versions of NBA Live on N64 making sure he'd lead the team in scoring and he was "the guy" for my team.

He was drafted in 98 if I recall and basically was Jordan's replacement lol.

Hoiberg(10 year vet), Curry(lead league in FG%), Nocioni(10.5PPG for his career and consistent guy off bench)

Ya'll have some weird definitions of "bad"

Plus a guy like Nocioni became pretty bad for the Bulls before his tenure was up. Curry was never bad on the Bulls, just didn't become what we wanted him to and then he fizzed out. Hoiberg was never anything but a bench player and was forced into playing like a starter on those terrible Bulls teams.

How was Nocioni not good? What were you defending about him? Did you ever expect him to break out? If so, to what?

Noc was good for 12-5 during his career with the Bulls. His last seasons was down for him by his standard with the Bulls but he was still a 38% shooter from three then and a solid rotational guy

I guess I expected more from him. Similar to you, I used Nocioni over Deng in NBA Live 07 and I thought he was the guy.

I guess I don't consider Tyrus Thomas a favorite bad Bulls player, because I hated him

I really didn't start following the Bulls closely until 08-09,

Another guy I wish would have done more for the Bulls- Thabo Sefolosha.

I liked him from 2005-2007, after that he just had terrible shot selection, pretty much became a chucker and I was really over him the season he was traded for Brad Miller. It was horrible to watch by then.

NBA Live. Ouch.

Thabo was cheese in NBA 2k. Thabo was a guy who just never seemed to be able to put it together on offense.

I'd say Eddy Curry even though he was a decent player. He should have been so much better than he turned out.

I think I've seen more come and go than most, when I was younger I believed the hype that came with some players who never delivered. I think I could come up with a roster of misfits.

I think the top of the list would be Scott May. Great college player, first team all American, first round pick from a national championship team at Indiana, came in after the just missed team of the early 70's, they got Artiis Gilmore from the ABA draft. He just couldn't cut it. Too slow, not enough range on his shot, couldn't shoot that well, couldn't get his own shot, injury prone. Always thought at some point he'd be what was expected but didn't happen

Close behind would be Brad Sellers. At a time, like many, when we needed a center he was 7 footer who led the Big 10 in scoring and rebounding. Which should be the lesson that you don't trust what somebody did in college. He was was built like a flag pole, a 7 foot small forward with not one bit of muscle to get inside and no range on his shot, was too tall to dribble the ball without it being stolen. Not even close to an NBA player, just took up space and did nothing to remember. I fell for it but I learned, never again.

I'd pick Tyrus, but I hated his guts because I knew LA was going to be the better player from the start.

James Johnson would probably be my pick...I thought he'd be Deng's replacement initially and that he could be a perimeter playmaker for us in addition to being a decent defender. Clearly that never amounted to any kind of fruition.

Close second is Thabo. He's a good role player, just not when he was here. It was like putting a round peg in a square hole. That and he could not find his offense at all.
