I've been to the church mentioned in this song. The lyric "On a hill behind the chapel in the parish of St. James" refers to St. James at Sag Bridge out on Archer Ave. in Lemont. As it's located in an area that is mainly Cook County Forest Preserve, it is believed to be the last country parish in the Chicago Archdiocese.
