Yeah, whether you like Rodman or not, he might arguably be the best rebounder in the history of the game. And for all the hi jinx, they guy took care all of the dirty work. Here is a guy who said, "I dont care about scoring...my think is trench warfare"...and so he was the best at it. And so, with that in mind, his time with the Bulls could be described as a time when the best scorer in the history of the league played on the same team with the best rebounder in the history of the league. When people try to claim those Bulls teams werent the greatest or that the 72 wins doesnt make them the best ever, you can say, "never mind the 72 wins...they had the best scorer of all time and the best rebounder of all time...oh and then there was also Scottie Pippen".
All the other stuff with Rodman distracts people when it comes to how good he was. Go look at his stats. Theyre amazing and they dont even tell the whole story. As great as he was at rebounding, that was only a part of it. He was a master of trench warfare. The guy would intimidate, annoy, deflect, and seemingly came up with all the loose balls.
